About The Position

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. Responsibilities As a Security Specialist with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following: Administer and coordinate DoD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. Provides guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions, such as personnel security, information and system security, COMSEC, and physical security to ensure compliance with standards. Provides administrative security support associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction, and disposition of classified material. May act as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) for projects. Administers and maintains physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification, and safeguarding of company facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property. Develops and conducts security briefings and security education programs. Provides oversight for programs for the protection of classified information as well as propriety information. Prepares, sends, and receives visitor certifications. Investigates losses and security violations and recommends corrective actions. Manages the continuing eligibility program for employees. Periodically inspects the facility to ensure physical security measures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 3-5 years of relevant security related experience.
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility is a must.
  • Knowledge of DoD, DOE, or other industrial security programs.
