The Security Supervisor is responsible for assisting in and supervising the daily functions of the department to ensure protection of property assets, associates, guests and hotel grounds. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility in scheduling. WHAT YOU’LL DO As the Security Supervisor, you will lead and support all day or nightly security operations to ensure the safety and protection of our guests, team members, and historic property. You will supervise Security Agents on shift, ensuring proper coverage, breaks, and patrols across all areas of the hotel while maintaining vigilance over life safety systems, loss prevention, and workplace safety standards. You will assist in handling and documenting guest and employee incidents including accidents, noise complaints, lock issues, medical emergencies, fire alarms, suspicious activity, and other safety-related concerns. You will prepare clear, objective, and legally defensible reports involving criminal activity, potential liabilities, insurance matters, and emergency situations. This role requires calm decision-making under pressure and the ability to coordinate responses to situations such as theft, disorderly conduct, power outages, elevator failures, natural disasters, or other critical incidents. You will help implement preventative safety programs and training initiatives across departments, ensuring compliance with federal and local laws related to guest and employee rights. As a leader, you will foster a positive team culture—balancing accountability, morale, and operational excellence—while modeling professionalism, integrity, and strong judgment at all times. Requirements

  • Prior experience in security operations, preferably in hospitality or a full-service property
  • Knowledge of property surveillance procedures, emergency response, investigations, and report writing
  • Experience conducting legally defensible incident investigations, including interviews and evidence documentation
  • Strong understanding of safety systems, risk management, and insurance claim processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
