About The Position

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Systems Administrator. The Security Systems Administrator is responsible for the management and administration of multiple security systems along with providing training and guidance to end users. The Security Systems Administrator coordinates necessary equipment/system repairs and preventative maintenance schedules. This role helps ensure that service levels, operating and quality standards, customer requirements and Global Security requirements are met.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in physical security or security systems
  • Excellent working knowledge of personal computers, networking, operating systems, and software applications
  • Must have good oral/written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to create and maintain accurate data records
  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve and learn new concepts
  • Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • College degree in Information Technology, Systems, Computer Science, or related field of study
  • Proficiency in access control, video management and/or visitor management systems

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for all physical security technologies and related projects across the organization
  • Maintain the life cycle management plan for security equipment and sustains working inventory of system specifications and equipment
  • Work closely with the security systems integrator to resolve systems related issues; including opening service requests via phone and/or e-mail, tracking the service requests and ensuring that system malfunctions are resolved within a timely manner
  • Vendor management to ensure service is compliant with the statement of work; investigate system hardware/installation vendors; recommend changes in vendors; create spec documents for vendors to meet when awarding projects
  • Review the weekly and monthly systems testing results and retests any reported malfunctions; design and implement policies or processes to remedy deficiencies
  • Create training or guidance documents related to training of new Allied Universal employees, remedial training to address physical security performance issues as well as the implementation of new processes for access control for Allied Universal and/or customer employees
  • Support the space owner program by processing restricted access requests, conducting audits of clearance levels and modifying access levels as needed
  • Conducts annual badge inactivity audit to ensure that that inactive profiles are disabled and removed from the access control database
  • Reviews security platform user accounts on a quarterly basis and makes changes accordingly
  • Manage Allied Universal and customer projects as needed
  • Tracks, maintains, and orders security systems supplies
  • Issues systems credentials for security officers and other end users and provides related training
  • Ensure badges are issued to associates and contractors
