Anticipated: Security Systems Technician Position Criteria: High School diploma or equivalent Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot multiple operational systems, including but not limited to: Fire panels and associated components Mass notifications systems Video surveillance, CCTV, IP cameras Access control/intrusion systems, card readers, electronic locks Intercom systems Experience with or ability to achieve training in the following: Low voltage OSHA-30 Electrical systems Attention to detail and strong communication skills Demonstrated ability to work as part of an operational team, including but not limited to across multiple departments (operations, security and construction) Performance Criteria: Maintenance, repair, testing and installation of CCTV, access control, intercoms, intrusion systems, security system hardware, software, card readers, linear power supplies and uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems. Runs reports to analyze system operation and manage contractors to demonstrate system operation and verify consistency with the contracted scope of work. Installation & mounting of equipment, running and securing cables, drilling holes, and integrating components. Diagnoses faults, fixing issues like loose connections, testing batteries, and performing routine checks. Performs routine preventative maintenance of all security related systems. Support system testing (hardware and software) both in the field and at the monitoring locations. Performs retro commissioning of existing security systems to ensure response is consistent with installed and working sequence of operations. Reviews networks and associated network performance as it pertains to the electronic security systems. Oversees installation, maintenance/service repairs and system upgrades completed by all security related contractors.
