About The Position

A Loons Security team member will promote and strengthen the Great Lakes Loons brand values of fun, family entertainment, service excellence, and quality in all actions. Serve patrons by showing high standards of guest service at all times thus providing a helpful and friendly environment at Dow Diamond.  Applicant must have superior communication skills as well as attention to detail.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • All applicants are required to pass a criminal background check
  • Possess strong conflict management and resolution skills
  • A strong customer-service attitude and professional appearance at all times
  • The ability to understand and enforce rules, policies and other pertinent information
  • The ability to communicate effectively with clients, patrons and other employees
  • The ability to multi-task, cross-train and learn new skills quickly and comprehensively
  • The ability to remain calm and level-headed under high-pressure situations
  • Ability to withstand outdoor elements: heat or cold as well as being on your feet for extended periods of time possibly in one spot (minimum of 5+ hours).  Applicant must also be able to doing the following:  climb stairs and push up to 150 pounds.  Full physical and mental dexterity with the ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, hear, see and speak clearly

Nice To Haves

  • Prior law enforcement or security training is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to uphold overall safety for both fans and employees at Dow Diamond
  • Enforce and defend the integrity of the facility and events
  • Enforcing state laws including but not limited to monitoring for over-intoxication and underage drinking
  • Monitor entry and exit points of the venue while maintaining crowd control
  • Perform routine search procedure including bag searches and screening of guests, checking credentials prior to them entering the stadium
  • Ensure that no prohibited items enter or exit the stadium
  • Greet and direct guests to seating areas
  • Maintain clear access routes throughout seating and concourse areas
  • Receive and act on complaints from patrons according to established policies and procedures
  • Enforce all policies and procedures throughout the facility and report any suspicious behaviors or activity
  • Follow all rules and regulations as outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Aide in the direction of orderly evacuation of the building during emergencies
  • Provide security escorts per event requirements
