About the position

The Select Producer position at IMA involves supporting and demonstrating the company's core values, with a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion. The role requires prospecting, qualifying, and closing new accounts that meet IMA's criteria to achieve annual sales goals. The Select Producer will develop and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring a cooperative environment that drives organizational success. The position also involves managing tasks effectively, identifying target industries for networking, and engaging prospects to tailor solutions to their needs. Additionally, the role includes maintaining client contacts in partnership with an Account Servicing team to ensure account retention.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and demonstrates IMA's core values
  • Values and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates
  • Prospects, qualifies, and closes new accounts which meet IMA Select/IMA Private Client criteria to meet annual sales goals
  • Develops and nurtures productive relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to learning and leveraging internal resources
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills to manage tasks and meet deadlines
  • Identifies target industry and/or market segment for network building and prospecting
  • Engages prospects by asking qualifying questions to determine their needs
  • Proactively identifies and coordinates cross selling opportunities
  • Enters and maintains all required information in Salesforce CRM
  • Maintains client contacts to assure account retention

Requirements

  • 4 or more years of sales experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must hold or attain Property & Casualty, and/or Personal Lines, Crop licenses
  • Track record of exceeding sales expectations
  • Experience in Commercial Insurance and/or Personal Insurance preferred
  • Basic experience with MS Office products required, intermediate aptitude preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to travel to various job sites as required
  • Willingness to come into an IMA office 2-3 times per week

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in both Small Commercial Property & Casualty and/or Private Client experience
