The Senior Academic Program Specialist manages daily operations of the CARE Academic Success Hub and supports key academic, experiential learning, and community-engagement initiatives within the Office of Community, Access, Retention, and Empowerment (CARE). The role oversees operational logistics for supplemental instruction courses, academic recovery, financial literacy, experiential learning, and community-building, while hiring, supervising student employees, and ensuring timely procurement for Academic Success Hub activities. Supports the scheduling, and tracking of financial literacy, academic recovery, supplemental instruction, and other CARE-developed credit and noncredit academic offerings. This includes managing all classroom needs and course scheduling for CARE initiatives. Serves as initial intake to triage and evaluate student concerns and escalate to appropriate parties for resolution if warranted. The specialist also supports the Assistant Dean and CARE leadership by scheduling team meetings, planning events, managing Workday purchasing processes, P-card transactions, student hiring, travel requests, and monthly expense tracking. Additional responsibilities include maintaining Academic Success Hub databases and BuckID access and assisting with annual reports. The position engages internal and external stakeholders through clear, professional communication.
