What You’ll Do As the Senior Accountant , you will provide senior level accounting operational support to the finance department to maintain meaningful financial reporting processes which leads to the timely production of financial statements, that are fairly stated in all material respects in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in the United States (GAAP), as well as other financial analysis and information as may be requested by the Company’s Controller, Chief Financial Officer, and other members of the Leadership Team. You will also:

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of intermediate level experience and at least 5 years experience as an accountant or equivalent, preferably in health care or non-profit business environment.
  • Financial background.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office’s Excel
  • Working knowledge of computerized general ledger systems (Microsoft Dynamics SL a plus).
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, and an acceptable driving record as determined by our insurance carrier

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: CPA not required but a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and perform the monthly financial close process, including preparation and review of general ledger activity and financial statements
  • Prepare and review journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Perform financial analysis, variance reporting, and revenue modeling related to patient accounts
  • Prepare schedules and analyses for leadership, Board reporting, audits, budgeting, and regulatory compliance
  • Support the Controller and CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Collaborate with internal leaders to provide financial guidance and support informed decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with financial, regulatory, privacy, safety, and security requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems, policies, and procedures
