About The Position

Senior Accountant – Medicare Cost Reporting is responsible for overseeing and managing the preparation and filing of Medicare Cost Reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves complex financial analysis, detailed record-keeping, and close collaboration with other departments to ensure accurate and timely submissions. The Senior Accountant will also contribute to the broader financial reporting and analysis efforts within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Great Plains) and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with Medicare Cost Reporting software and tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially in preparing and reviewing financial reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to management.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workloads, particularly during peak periods.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
