About The Position

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, the Senior Accountant will support key corporate accounting functions including debt, equity, government contracts, leases, and intercompany eliminations, while also assisting with revenue recognition and customer invoicing processes. This role will participate in the monthly close and financial reporting process, prepare journal entries and reconciliations for complex corporate accounts, and support revenue accounting activities such as contract analysis, revenue recognition modeling, and accounts receivable documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong in U.S. GAAP, and comfortable working with complex contracts and financial models in a fast-growing, operationally complex environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-4 years in General Accounting or a related professional/relevant field of experience (publicly traded company, preferred).
  • Experience working with ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA) and financial reporting tools (e.g., OneStream, Hyperion).
  • Ability to prioritize, think strategically, and solve problems.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA license or active pursuit of CPA.
  • Experience in corporate accounting or dealing with corporate-related matters, intercompany accounting, and/or international accounting.
  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls.
  • Ability to understand complex contracts and apply professional judgment.
  • Demonstrated interest in process optimization and automation of accounting workflows.
  • Possess a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to exercise strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record journal entries primarily related to corporate activities, including debt, equity, intercompany eliminations, as well as leases, government contracts, and other assigned areas.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process by preparing account reconciliations, researching variances, and resolving reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Prepare customer invoices and accounts receivable documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency with contract terms and revenue recognition policies.
  • Utilize IT systems such as: SAP, OneStream, Blackline, lease accounting software, electronic banking, and customer billing/invoicing portals, etc., as daily tools to accomplish work objectives.
  • Contribute to financial statement analytical reviews by providing detailed explanations for account changes and fluctuations.
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and scalability of accounting operations.
  • Work closely with the general ledger and technical accounting teams.
  • Assist in the review financial information of the corporate entities as well as international and other entities in support of the close process to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Dedicate the necessary time each month to support the achievement of a timely, accurate, and efficient general ledger close and reporting process for assigned corporate functions and other areas.
  • Support the maintenance of internal controls and SOX compliance for assigned accounting processes and participate in control documentation and testing activities.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
