About The Position

The Senior Analyst, Strategic Projects provides analytical, communications, and project management support across high-impact initiatives that advance Fluence’s commercial evolution. This role partners closely with the Director/VP of Strategic Projects and cross-functional teams to develop new commercial offerings, assess market opportunities, and prepare executive-ready materials that drive data-informed decisions. Success requires strong analytical skills, clear written communication, structured project management, and a bias for crisp, on-time deliverables.

Requirements

  • 3 to 6+ years in strategy, finance, consulting, or an analytics-focused role in the electric generation or storage sectors.
  • Proficiency in quantitative modeling and analysis (Excel required; other data modeling software experience is a plus).
  • Exceptional written communication and slide development skills (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Comfort synthesizing inputs from multiple teams and operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Structures complex questions, uses data to form insights and recommendations.
  • Crafts succinct, executive-ready narratives with clear logic and evidence.
  • Plans work, manages risks, and delivers on-time outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior leaders in the commercial Strategic Projects team in a wide variety of cross-functional commercially focused initiatives.
  • Support scoping, planning, and tracking of strategic projects; manage timelines, risks, and interdependencies; prepare weekly status updates.
  • Build and maintain financial models and market analyses to evaluate new offerings, partnerships, and market entry opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to inform new offerings, risk-sharing structures, go-to-market options, and beyond.
  • Consolidate inputs from Sales, Product, Finance, Legal, and Operations to produce clear, actionable summaries and decision memos on various initiatives.
  • Draft executive-ready presentations, memos, and investment proposals for senior leadership and broad stakeholder groups; ensure narrative clarity and data accuracy.
  • Translate complex analysis into concise messages, key takeaways, and recommendations; maintain a consistent executive voice and style.
  • Own meeting pre-reads, talking points, and follow-up notes; track decisions, actions, and KPIs to closure.
  • High-visibility exposure through regular interactions with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Skill-building in financial modeling, electricity market analysis, structured problem solving, and executive communications.
  • Clear pathways to increased responsibility (owning workstreams, leading cross-functional pods) based on performance and impact.
