About The Position

We are seeking an Earned Value Management (EVM) Senior Analyst in Rockford, Illinois to join the Electric Power Systems Engineering Business Office. This role is ideal for a financial professional focused on advancing and strengthening their expertise in forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting within a matrixed environment. The selected candidate will support the Program Management Office and Engineering teams in monitoring financial performance across multiple programs. Working under general supervision, this role contributes to budget planning, resource analysis, and Earned Value reporting while gaining exposure to complex program financial management processes.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

  • Prior experience supporting budgeting, cost tracking, or financial reporting in a project or program environment
  • Prior experience analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data
  • Proven ability to work effectively across functions, organizations, and multiple levels of management, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of project management and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and their application to complex programs, including familiarity with the EVMS 32 Guidelines
  • Experience using SAP
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain daily/weekly program cost and resource projections
  • Establish, maintain and measure performance against program cost baselines
  • Track, trend, forecast, and analyze budgets, performance and actuals to support informed decision-making
  • Identify and assess detailed program risks and opportunities
  • Analyze and update cost estimates, including program re-baselining as required
  • Reconcile data between accounting systems and project cost and schedule tools
  • Participate in the monthly Earned Value (EV) cycle, Estimate-at-Complete reviews, and Monthly/Quarterly Program Reviews
  • Ensure program compliance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements
  • Perform monthly data reconciliation and compile Earned Value or project plan data for review and approval
  • Participate in process audits, including Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) compliance reviews
