The Strategic Finance Senior Analyst will be part of the newly formed Strategic Finance team at Datacor, working 1 on 1 with the Director of Strategic Finance and helping shape the future of the team. They will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting Datacor’s performance through reports, metrics, models and forecasts, and will serve as a thought partner and “navigator” to Datacor, helping guide the company’s overall strategic direction. This will be a highly collaborate role, working across all functional areas of Datacor and interacting with the executive team regularly. Ideal candidates are self-starters that are excited by fast-paced environments and enjoy solving tough problems. Ideal candidate will be located in the greater New York area with flexibility to travel to our headquarters in Florham Park New Jersey 1-2 times a quarter.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a financial analyst role (consulting, banking, private equity a plus).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • SaaS / Software industry experience.
  • Experience with analyzing financials, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop and maintain financial models.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interpret, distill, and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Advanced working knowledge of excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting.
  • Unyielding ethical standards and integrity.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • An ability to operate independently, problem solve and think creatively.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven track-record of working collaboratively and effectively within teams.
  • A willingness to “go the extra mile” to get things done in a high-pace environment.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, monitor, and analyze financial KPIs and identify trends to provide actionable insights to department heads and business division leaders.
  • Provide insight and commentary to the executive leadership team and the board of directors on financial results.
  • Perform variance analyses comparing financial results to budgeted results and identify the root causes of such variances.
  • Support the budgeting process, partnering closely with department heads to ensure our planning is aligned with strategic business objectives.
  • Build financial models for forecasting business performance.
  • Own the reporting, analysis, and forecasting of companywide ARR; generate insights into the trends in ARR and the drivers of those trends.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and Controller on scaling reporting measures, tracking performance and adopting new finance processes & tools.
  • Support and execute capital raising & financing efforts.
  • Assist with special projects, including ad-hoc strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in Datacor’s M&A strategy through diligence, execution and integration of acquisitions.
