We are seeking a Senior Applications Specialist ERP who thrives at the intersection of healthcare operations and technology. In this role, you’ll serve as a project leader and subject matter expert responsible for implementing, supporting, and optimizing the healthcare information systems that power our organization. This position partners closely with clinical, operational, and technical teams to translate real-world healthcare needs into effective system solutions. You will help ensure our application systems are functional, integrated, and continuously improving — ultimately supporting caregivers in delivering outstanding patient care. Requirements

  • Minimum of one of the following: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, Health Information Technology, or related field, OR 5+ years of healthcare IT or related industry experience
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning
  • Current Oracle Fusion certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including implementation of software application systems
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with professionalism
  • Solid understanding of personal computers and common software applications (such as Microsoft Office)
  • Minimum of one (1) of the following required: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, Health Information Technology or related field. Minimum of five (5) years’ related job or industry experience.
  • Possess leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills required.
  • Strong understanding of both common software applications (ex. MS Office) and personal computers required.
  • Possess project management skills and experience implementing software application systems required.

Responsibilities

  • Application Support & Optimization Provide high-quality customer service and end-user support, including configuring applications, building system tables/dictionaries, creating user access, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely resolution or escalation across our entire ERP system.
  • Monitor service requests and system functionality, identify problems and root causes, and lead efforts to resolve issues and improve system performance.
  • Collaborate with end users to implement, optimize, and maintain application systems and content.
  • Project Management & Implementation Serve as project manager for the implementation, support, and integration of healthcare information systems.
  • Participate in system planning, design, build, testing, training, and go-live activities.
  • Manage work plans, timelines, and project tasks while coordinating with users, vendors, and leadership.
  • Facilitate project teams and guide decision-making across departments to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Systems Integration & Workflow Improvement Translate clinical and operational needs into functional system requirements.
  • Serve as liaison between end users and software vendors.
  • Assist with development of system interfaces, workflow design, table mapping, and specification development.
  • Conduct integrated system testing and apply quality management principles to ensure system reliability.
  • Continuous Improvement Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and issue management skills.
  • Support change management and production system updates.
  • Stay current with healthcare technology trends and pursue professional development opportunities.

Facilitates group projects toward successful completion of goals, effectively and independently facilitates decision-making with users and leadership in multiple venues and environments as needed. Assumes full ownership of all outcomes, start to finish. Multitasks and prioritizes tasks utilizing appropriate critical decision-making skills.
  • As applicable to assigned areas; Exhibits an understanding of the integration between modules and the interaction/impact changes cause within the modules. Assists in the development of interfaces, design, workflow, specification development, table-mapping, and testing. Executes testing in an integrated environment while incorporating quality management concepts.
  • Exhibits fundamental HIT knowledge and skills including problem-solving, analytical skills, issues management and escalation, change control, production change management, and creation of design specifications or documentation.
