About The Position

The Senior Applied Machine Learning Engineer will drive the design, development, and integration of advanced AI and ML solutions across large-scale computing environments. This role focuses on leveraging structured and unstructured data to optimize product performance, enhance system intelligence, and deliver actionable insights. Working in a remote, collaborative, and fast-paced environment, the engineer will implement, test, and scale machine learning algorithms while contributing to the evolution of AI platforms and integrations. The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic problem-solving, requiring a deep understanding of Kubernetes, backend programming, and AI/ML frameworks. The engineer will collaborate across teams to improve workflows, champion quality, and ensure seamless adoption of new AI tools and methodologies. This is a highly dynamic role suited for individuals who enjoy tackling complex technical challenges and innovating at the intersection of AI and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years experience, or 7+ years of relevant professional experience
• Professional experience in backend programming (Go or Python preferred) and scripting for ML workflows
• Expertise in Kubernetes and cloud-native AI tooling, including LangChain, LangFlow, Spark, Airflow, Kubeflow, MLFlow, KServe, or Ray
• Strong understanding of computer networking concepts (HTTP, TLS)
• Experience with data engineering, machine learning operations, and large-scale computing frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work asynchronously and across teams

Nice To Haves

• experience building RAGs, MCP servers, or 2+ years technical leadership experience
• Familiarity with AI/ML lifecycle, deep learning, and performance optimization techniques

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance integrations between open-source ML and AI tools on a proprietary AI platform, ensuring consistent behavior across applications
• Research and implement new AI/ML tools, extending platform capabilities under product guidance
• Build and test applications using the AI tool stack, providing user feedback to improve ergonomics and performance
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and operations teams to design and implement solutions to technical and business challenges
• Prioritize and execute integration projects, monitoring capacity planning and project timelines
• Lead larger integration efforts, providing status updates and technical guidance to leadership and team members
• Document procedures, monitor performance metrics, and contribute to continuous improvement of AI/ML systems
