You’ll find belonging, purpose, and a team that welcomes you—because when you feel valued, you’re empowered to do your best work. Job Summary Equinix is building the next generation of private, deterministic connectivity for AI services and multi-cloud platforms. As part of the Fabric Intelligence team, you will work on core platform components that enable enterprises and AI service providers to securely discover, connect, and operate private services at global scale. This role sits at the intersection of network infrastructure, distributed systems, and platform automation, with a strong emphasis on correctness, observability, and operational excellence. You will work closely with senior engineers and architects while owning well-scoped components and contributing to end-to-end system behavior. This is a hands-on engineering role with real production impact.

  • 4–7 years of professional software engineering experience in infrastructure, platform, or networking-adjacent systems
  • Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Go, Python, or similar
  • Experience building or operating distributed systems in production environments
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, and load balancing
  • Experience with Linux-based systems and debugging production issues
  • Familiarity with observability tools and metrics-driven operations
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BGP, IPSec, VPNs, or proxy technologies (e.g., HAProxy, Envoy)
  • Exposure to cloud networking concepts (VPC/VNet, private connectivity, hybrid networking)
  • Experience working on control planes, policy engines, or automation workflows
  • Familiarity with AI or ML infrastructure concepts is a plus but not required
  • Experience operating systems with strict correctness, security, or availability requirements

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate platform services that enable private connectivity and service access over Equinix Fabric
  • Develop and maintain control-plane and data-plane components supporting Private Service Exchange connectivity, including policy evaluation, routing decisions, and configuration workflows
  • Work with networking technologies such as BGP, IPSec, and L4/L7 proxies as part of a larger distributed system
  • Contribute to deterministic routing, failover behavior, and latency-aware decision logic.
  • Implement observability and telemetry for correctness, stability, and customer-facing signals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network engineering, product management, and SRE
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and on-call rotations appropriate to the role
