Job Description: Job Title: Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer Duration: 6+ months Contact Work Location: North Chesterfield, VA 23236 Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist 100% ONSITE - NO REMOTE WORK and in-person interview only. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior BI Specialist to design, develop, and maintain advanced business intelligence solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI, T-SQL , SSIS , dimensional modeling , and other Microsoft data tools , with a strong ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Experience working with medical data and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations is a significant plus. This contractor will primarily support Electronic Health Records (HER) requests and duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science , Information Systems , or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in BI development and data analytics.
• Proficiency in: Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling)
• SQL Server (T-SQL, performance tuning)
• SSIS (ETL design and implementation)
• Dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts
• Understanding of Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• 2 years' Work with medical data including HIPAA compliance requirements
• 5 years Design and implement Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics and trends.
• 5 years Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for efficient data retrieval and transformation.
• 5 years Build and maintain ETL processes using SSIS to integrate data from multiple sources into data warehouses.
• 2 years Apply dimensional modeling techniques to design and maintain scalable data models for analytics
• 2 Years Gather requirements and deliver BI solutions aligned with business objectives
• 1 year Maintain clean code bases and releases using GIT and ADO Pipelines

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse Analytics).
• Exposure to data governance and security best practices .
