Position Summary The Planning & Optimization team within Commercial IT is seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Business Systems Analyst (BSA). This role is critical to maintaining high standards of efficiency and productivity across a portfolio of solutions that support production planning, distribution scheduling, backcasting, and multi‑modal logistics (pipeline, rail, truck, marine). The BSA will work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to elicit and analyze business requirements, translate them into well‑defined system and functional designs, and support the implementation of scalable, integrated solutions. The successful candidate will operate as part of a product‑aligned Agile team, delivering value through iterative development, continuous improvement, and the timely delivery of high‑quality, business‑focused outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience required
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and managing SOX‑in‑scope applications, including the implementation and ongoing execution of required IT General Controls (ITGCs) such as user access provisioning and de‑provisioning, quarterly access reviews, change‑management controls, audit‑ready documentation, and adherence to segregation‑of‑duties (SoD) requirements to ensure regulatory compliance and operational integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in marine logistics or systems like Veson IMOS, Mainstay dock scheduling, or Navarik Inspection is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads improvement recommendations and presents effectively to senior and executive management and global teams.
  • Presents and leads client meetings with the business and development teams.
  • Communicates with senior leaders for understanding and execution of cross-functional complex processes and applications to solve for client requirements.
  • Provides recommendations for appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
  • Partners with business teams to develop ways to investigate business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
  • Leads and serves as a senior resource on cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
  • Serves as a resource to colleagues, mentors, and helps improve the team’s abilities around all IT Service Management (ITSM) disciplines deployed.
  • Leads the development, execution, and creation of the cross-functional testing strategy, communicating with all stakeholders for technology delivery.
  • Leads the planning, conducting, and documenting of user stories, and user feedback.
  • Effectively communicates feedback with senior leaders for technology improvement.
