About The Position

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Senior Buyer/Content Manager to contribute to our team in LaVergne, TN just outside Nashville. In this role, you will maintain profitable vendor relations to secure applicable ICG service offerings. You’ll also identify, analyze, and negotiate procurement of stocked inventory. The ideal candidate will have a mixture of sales, account management, and negotiation skills. Ingram Content Group (“Ingram”) connects people with content in all forms. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent B2B Management experience in either publishing, wholesale or retail bookselling
  • Minimum 3 years’ progressive experience in 3 or more of the following: Team Management, Purchasing, Sales, Distribution, Inventory Management, Project Management and maintaining significant supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Makes buying decisions on products for an assigned group of publishers.
  • Analyzes and reviews current publisher activities within the ICG Service offerings and evaluates and recommends business opportunities to match ICG Services to vendor short- and long-term goals.
  • Works to ensure the efficient and accurate use of technology to procure, forecast new and reorder inventory needs, allocations, returns and warehouse transfers from within company overstock.
  • Analyzes various vendor activity reports for key performance indicators and recommends the activities to ensure enhanced financial performance and profit contribution. Key performance indicators include fill rate, inventory turn, aged inventory, and sell-through.
  • Ensures vendors are engaged in the appropriate ICG Products and Services.
  • Reviews available reporting to ensure maximum profitability regularly.
  • Directs vendor activities to meet strategic goals and objectives.
