About The Position

We are seeking a dependable, experienced Senior Buyer to lead purchasing across our two manufacturing and one fulfillment locations. This role is responsible for sourcing high-quality raw materials, packaging, and supplies-ensuring cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and supply continuity. Experience in nutraceuticals is strongly preferred, as is experience in food manufacturing. The ideal candidate understands cGMP requirements, supplier qualification standards, and the importance of sourcing from reputable, compliant vendors. This is a hands-on role in a fast-growing company that requires strong ownership, responsiveness, and availability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing
• Experience in nutraceuticals strongly preferred, food manufacturing experience highly desirable
• Strong understanding of cGMP, supplier qualification, and regulatory compliance
• Proven negotiation and cost-control experience
• Experience managing multi-location procurement
• ERP/MRP system experience required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing organization

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging, and production supplies across three facilities
• Source nutraceutical and food-grade ingredients that meet cGMP and regulatory standards
• Evaluate, qualify, and maintain relationships with reputable suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, lead times, and payment terms
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent shortages or overstock
• Ensure supplier documentation meets quality and compliance standards (COAs, specs, audits, etc.)
• Partner with Quality and Operations to maintain cGMP compliance
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance
• Manage vendor performance metrics and resolve supply chain disruptions
• Support new product launches with timely sourcing and purchase planning
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and ERP system data
• Travel occasionally between facilities as needed
