About The Position

This individual independently plans, performs the moderately-defined responsibility for the research, design, development, implementation, and verification of complex camera systems and HW or FW tasks (including Camera Image Signal Processor (ISP), 3A (AWB, AEC, AF), Image Quality, Features, Tuning Tools), algorithms, features, logic design, modeling, and design verification. Performs architecture, IQ modules, algorithm and feature decomposition to drive requirements and specifications for hardware and software development. Ensures image quality, systems performance, ISP area and power metrics are met. Performs development, bring-up and validation of Camera features on QC mobile devices using Embedded Systems and Software knowledge. Leverages basic understanding of camera processing blocks to work on defined tasks related to one or more functions of a feature; works under close supervision. Debugs isolated or well-defined issues. Collaborates with team members and other camera teams on the design, development, and optimization of camera systems, hardware, and/or software. Writes clear technical documentation and feature descriptions for straightforward projects under the direction of a supervisor. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems or related degree field.
  • Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems or related degree field and five (5) years of progressive experience in a related occupation.
  • Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
