About The Position

Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry-leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer, currently has a Senior Chemical Process Engineer opportunity at Ellsworth Adhesives. This role reports into our KitPackers (KPRL) Division located in Germantown, WI. The ideal candidate will be able to work a hybrid schedule out of our Germantown, WI facility. Requirements

  • 5 years of engineering or quality experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Material Sciences.
  • Strong record of successfully managing difficult or emotional customer situations.
  • Excellent customer service skills demonstrated by responding promptly to customers and soliciting feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability to use strong analytical skills to synthesize complex information to maximize efficiencies while mitigating risk.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve internal and external quality incidents.
  • Lead transition and scale-up of products from concept to full-scale manufacturing and commercialization.
  • Develop manufacturing process and quality specifications.
  • Proactively optimize formulations, industrial processes, and test protocols to positively impact quality, efficiency, and profit.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions to resolve customer complaints related to material or processing issues.
  • Direct the commercialization process for new products by implementing manufacturing processes and testing protocols to ensure finished products meet safety, performance, and cost expectations.
  • Assign in-process batch adjustments and scale production batches to meet product performance specifications.
  • Analyze production, test data, and internal specifications to fully optimize process capability, efficiency, and cost.
  • Disposition non-conforming material, including assigning internal deviations, and assess costs and responsibility.
