Our Engineering Design Organization (EDO) is looking for a Senior Civil Designer
to join the team in Buffalo, NY! In this role, you will operate as a CAD manager
on multidiscipline projects coordinating project set-up, chartering documents,
and maintain designer team schedules. You'll prepare detailed design drawings
for grading and site development, utility piping, process piping and chemical
feed system layouts of moderate to advanced complexity, including developing
alignments, profiles, cross sections and details specific to wastewater/water
facilities and horizontal infrastructure design projects.

Working with an energetic and hard-working team, this position offers a variety
of work and will see you involved in:

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in CADD or Civil Engineering Technology; HS Diploma and relevant experience will also be considered
• 10-15 years of experience in site-civil / water & wastewater / storm water / erosion & sediment control design
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil3D
• Understanding of survey fundamentals preferred

Nice To Haves

• Revit, Civil HydroCAD and TR-55 experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
• Solutions Analysis: Analyze specific problems and issues to find the best solutions. Solutions could be technical or professional in nature.
• Applications Software Maintenance: Monitor, identify, and correct straightforward software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software.
• Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
• Operational Compliance: Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate.
• Product and Solution Development: Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems.
• Design and Conceptualization: Produce multiple concepts and prototypes to design digital products/services.
• Operating Machine or Equipment: Operate complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to complex inefficiencies.
• Quality Assurance Testing: Carry out a specified range of complex tests; interpret test data to verify that specifications are met and/or to identify remedial actions required to ensure conformance.
