Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Preferred fields: Science, Healthcare, or another related field --or-- Significant experience in research coordination may be substituted for educational requirements
• Washington Medical Assistant Registration within 60 days of hire
• 5 years of experience in related area.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or similar professional research certification upon hire

Responsibilities

• Independently coordinate research and administrative tasks in support of one or more research studies.
• Collaborate with study investigators and supervisor to resolve study‑related issues and ensure smooth study operations.
• Provide backup support to other research coordinators as needed.
• Contribute to departmental financial performance through budgeting, billing, and other financial tasks as directed.
• Develop specialized research instruments and assist in preparing scientific manuscripts or presentations.
• Provide regular after‑hours support, with occasional on-call responsibilities and periodic overnight business travel.
• Demonstrate increased productivity, efficiency, and independence relative to a Research Coordinator.
• Train research coordinators on proper study conduct and assist in departmental quality control activities.
• Support managers or supervisors by helping oversee financial processes and quality‑focused initiatives.
