End Client: City University of New York Project Description: Establish and operationalize enterprise multi-cloud foundations (Landing Zones + governance guardrails) across Azure, AWS, GCP, and OCI, and support CCoE workload intake/placement decisions (Cloud vs On-Prem vs SaaS). Deliver secure, scalable, repeatable onboarding patterns with infrastructure-as-code, hybrid connectivity standards, and FinOps controls. Job Title Requirements: Senior, hands-on multi-cloud architect with proven delivery of enterprise Landing Zones and governance guardrails; strong hybrid networking, security/IAM, logging/monitoring baselines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform; Ansible preferred).

Requirements

  • 10+ years infrastructure/architecture experience
  • 5+ years cloud architecture
  • Architect-level experience across Azure, AWS, GCP, and OCI
  • Built enterprise Landing Zones (identity, network, logging/monitoring, security baseline) and onboarding standards
  • Implemented governance/guardrails and policy controls; operated a workload intake/review process
  • Strong hybrid connectivity design (hub/spoke, routing, DNS, private endpoints/private connectivity)
  • Infrastructure-as-Code delivery with Terraform (Ansible preferred) and CI/CD-driven foundation changes, drift control
  • Demonstrated FinOps practices (tagging, budgets/alerts, cost allocation/show back)
  • Strong stakeholder management and written documentation/runbook skills

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications strongly desired: Azure Solutions Architect Expert; AWS Solutions Architect Professional; Google Professional Cloud Architect; OCI Cloud Architect (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Architect and operate Landing Zones across Azure, AWS,GCP, and OCI (org/account/subscription/project/tenancy; identity, network, logging, security baselines).
  • Implement governance guardrails and policies (e.g., Azure Policy/Management Groups; AWS Organizations/SCPs; GCP Org Policy; OCI compartment governance).
  • Run/participate in CCoE workload intake to recommend Cloud (which provider) vs On-Prem vs SaaS using risk, compliance, data classification, latency, resiliency/DR, and TCO/FinOps.
  • Define hybrid connectivity reference patterns (hub/spoke, routing, DNS, private endpoints; private connectivity options).
  • Deliver platform automation with Terraform + Ansible(preferred), CI/CD for foundation changes, drift control, and clear runbooks/standards.
  • Establish FinOps standards: tagging/labels, budgets/alerts, cost allocation/show back reporting, and optimization guardrails.
  • Produce documentation and provide knowledge transfer to CIS teams; support stakeholder alignment across a federated environment.
