About The Position

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for a Senior Collections Analyst. The Senior Collections Analyst will report directly to the Senior Collection Manager, managing relationships with assigned Freight and Audit Pay (FAP) companies and/or high value client receivables. Goal is to identify best practices across all clients within FAP and work with FAP to implement changes to lower DSO and outstanding receivables.

Requirements

• 5+ years in B2B Collections, with at least 2 years in Transportation or Logistics (LTL preferred)
• High attention to detail and firm negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Excel

Nice To Haves

• TMS and/or EDI experience
• Advanced Excel experience
• Proficiency in rate matrices and LTL contracts

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain working relationship with Carrier Manager to determine reasoning for rejected invoices and payment delays
• Liase between Rates, Traffic, Sales, and FAP to resolve invoice disputes and give recommendations to resolve go-forward billing
• Optimize processes by identifying why accounts are habitually late and root cause fixes
• Provide monthly updates to Director of Credit and Collections and Senior Collection Manager of open aging for all assigned high value clients and assigned FAP, including expected date of resolution
