About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced, results-oriented, organized, and self-starting EMC Compliance Engineer within AWS' Global Trade and Product Compliance (GTPC) function. As a EMC compliance engineer within the GTPC Product Compliance Engineering team, you will collaborate with AWS business teams, product compliance engineering, agency partners, and legal to drive global delivery of certifications for critical hardware. You will also regularly communicate with senior leadership on status, risk, and strategy. GTPC is responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure equipment necessary to support the AWS services are imported/exported in a compliant manner across the multiple countries where AWS operates and will expand, including all product certification/safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with product development teams to assess risk and implement mitigation measures with design, supply chain, or operation teams for EMC compliance
  • Deliver certifications for new product launch and global deployment
  • Create and document EMC strategy, guidance, and processes
  • Develop metrics to manage business and provide insights on which improvement opportunities should be prioritized

Requirements

  • Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
  • Experience in server technologies such as, thermal, mechanical, power, and signal integrity
  • 5+ years of technical experience on EMC compliance in technology industry

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
  • Experience with the project management of technical projects
