Our Construction Management Group is growing! In response to the steady growth of our team in the West Region (Arizona, California, Washington) GHD is looking for a Senior Construction Manager with proven on time and budget delivery capabilities. You will provide GHD’s construction phase support services to new and existing clients on multiple simultaneous projects with a construction value of up to $10M each. Requirements

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of education and management experience
Minimum 15 years of experience as Construction Manager and/or Resident Engineer on multiple simultaneous construction projects
Current Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Experience with web based document ma

Responsibilities

Construction Management: for our water projects (i.e. pumping stations, pipelines, treatment facilities, etc.), transportation projects (roads, trails, traffic improvements), as well as coastal, environmental, energy projects throughout the region. In addition to leading during construction phase, contributions will include involvement in the planning, permitting, design, and procurement.
Identify: business development opportunities, lead procurement efforts including proposal and interview preparation
Insights and Reporting: Contribute to the design and creation of reporting strategies and templates. Lead execution of complex reports, identifying and interpreting complex patterns and trends, and translating those insights into actionable recommendations.
Construction Advice: Provide specialist professional advice relating to construction regulations and best practice with regard to complex maintenance, alteration, and construction of buildings.
Construction Project Budgeting: Develop, deliver, and manage budget plans for standard construction projects with guidance from senior colleagues. Monitor and perform budget progress and post-calculations.
Knowledge Management: Develop policies and processes, create best practices, set up case studies, and deliver internal knowledge-sharing sessions to capture and share knowledge among colleagues on project/program outcomes and innovative practices in a particular area of expertise and to support the practice.
Personal Capability Building: Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Bid Solicitation/Request for Proposal/Tender Analysis: Conduct complex feasibility studies from technological, financial, and organizational perspectives on bid solicitation, including request for proposal (RFP) and request for tender (RFT) project requirements, and write specifications for tenders.
Operational Compliance: Monitor and review performance and behaviors within area of responsibility to identify and resolve noncompliance with the organization's policies and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct.
Client & Customer Management (External): Manage important client relationships with guidance from senior colleagues, or oversee relationship management with a group of more transactional clients and customers.
