About The Position

SC&H is currently searching for Senior Consultants to join and help grow our Data Strategy & Governance (DSG) practice . SC&H is a national consulting and financial services firm driving our clients’ business, technology, and teams forward. As a part of our team, you will support our clients in designing the overall strategy and deploying capabilities needed to harness data to drive decision-making and power key use cases. As part of our Data Strategy & Governance practice, you will be part of SC&H’s Enterprise Advisory & Transformation service line, where we partner with clients to tackle their digital, data, and technology challenges head-on. From identifying growth opportunities to implementing enterprise technology solutions, our teams focus on driving efficiency, scalability, and long-term success for the clients we serve. The ideal candidate for this role combines a passion for data with a track record of supporting client delivery as part of a team. Candidates must possess expertise in data strategy, data governance, data management, data analytics, data engineering, data sourcing, data technologies, or similar disciplines. Experience leveraging and managing data from a variety of sources is ideal, with the ability to adapt based on individual client needs. Experience implementing or utilizing technology solutions to ingest, manage, store, or consume data is ideal. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment, work through different client requirements to define or recommend solutions, and most importantly have the functional and technical proficiency to complete development, implementation, and enablement activities to help our clients turn strategy into action. Work you’ll do: Work in a team-based environment through all stages of defining, delivering, and enabling functional and technical solutions for our clients to address critical business problems Play a key role in expanding the Data Strategy & Governance practice by supporting business development, thought leadership/conferences, team initiatives, recruiting/hiring, and training for members of both the DSG and broader Enterprise Advisory & Transformation team Develop a deep understanding of client strategy and business challenges to then effectively translate into operational or technical requirements Manage engagement plans and conduct regular status or steering committee updates with the client to ensure project expectations and deadlines are met Support the definition of capabilities and build of frameworks, processes, and tools to support clients’ data strategy and governance needs Structure and develop client deliverables in Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and other presentation mediums, telling a cohesive, effective story with supporting analysis in a clear and effective manner Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to structure thoughts logically during discussions and presentations Collaborate effectively with an extended team of diverse skill sets (technology, operations, data analytics, data management, IT, privacy, legal, compliance, etc.) Travel as required to collaborate with clients and SC&H project teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with a strong academic record in data analytics, computer science, business, economics, finance, management, engineering, applied math, statistics, or related fields
  • 3+ years of consulting experience in data strategy and transformation, digital transformation, data management, and/or technology implementations
  • Ability to tackle complex problems when the path may not be clear
  • Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey business strategy and technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience translating strategy and business requirements into technical design or operational capabilities
  • Must be able to manage own time effectively and communicate work status with managers
  • Must be a team player (raises issues/concerns and seeks meaningful resolution)
  • Must have demonstrated high motivation and self-discipline, with strong work ethic, personal initiative, planning and organization, as well as attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset
  • Familiarity with data strategy, data sourcing, data governance, data management, data analytics, or data engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with industry-standard products and platforms such as Alation, AWS, Ataccama, Atlan, Collibra, Databricks, Immuta, Informatica, Microsoft, Monte Carlo, OneTrust, Oracle, Snowflake (certified professionals is a plus)

Responsibilities
