About The Position

This role will support the NRLFO Contracts Division providing acquisition and procurement support for the Naval Reactors Program, the program office responsible for overseeing the nation's nuclear shipbuilding. NRLFO Contracts Division is responsible for contract management in numerous Naval Reactors sites throughout the country. Responsibilities include transactional activities, coordination, development, implementation, and programmatic oversight of DOE and NRLFO contracts program policy. In addition, the Contracts Division serves as the primary point of contact for federal, state, and private agencies on matters concerning these contract centric programs under DOE/NRLFO cognizance.

Requirements

  • An active DOE Q Clearance or DOD TS Clearance is preferred; uncleared individuals must have the ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in similarly complex roles.
  • Must have experience with DOE Management and Operating (M&O) contracts acquisition and procurement operations.
  • Must have working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and/or the Department of Energy Acquisition Regulation (DEAR).
  • Must possess excellent writing skills, critical thinking abilities, attention to detail, and reliability.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of DOE business systems such as STRIPES and FAST is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and execute transactional workload associated with NRLFO Contracts Division mission in support of day-to-day operations. Transactional workload activities involve reviewing and processing purchase card transactions, simplified acquisitions, interagency agreements, and contractor requests for consent to subcontract.
  • Document transactional and reporting processes in standard operating procedures and review/update existing procedures.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on specific processes and procedures for development and implementation of Department of Energy G-invoicing initiative. This includes, but is not limited to, providing by assigned due date(s) Naval Reactors contract administrative functional requirements, facilitation of stakeholder coordination & engagement, change management, system/process testing, documentation of new process procedure, etc.
