POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Corporate Accountant supports core corporate accounting functions for Dominium’s management company, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, reviewing financial statements and payables, managing corporate allocations, and assisting with budgeting and monthly close activities.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in accounting or higher and 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with accounting software required; Yardi experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities.

  • Yardi experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Executes month end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Ensures that all cash transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Reviews account for payable activity and oversee the payables process to ensure accurate allocation and approval of expenses, and timely payment.
  • Administers corporate credit cards,, and review expenses for accurate coding, proper documentation, and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepares and issue monthly management fee billings, ensuring accurate calculation and timely submission in accordance with management agreements.
  • Records and reconcile payroll activity, ensuring accurate posting of wages, taxes, and benefits.
  • Calculates and records corporate cost allocations to ensure accurate distribution across entities.
  • Analyzes monthly financial results and provide variance explanations and prepares ad hoc reporting.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders across the organization to align financial insights with organizational goals.
  • Supports junior accounting staff and contributes to continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures.
