About The Position

On-Site Cost Accountant needed 4 days in, 1 hybrid The Senior Cost Accountant supports operations from both a financial and operational perspective. Responsibilities include monthly close, variance analysis, annual planning, and ad hoc reporting. This role serves as a key business partner to plant leadership and cross-functional teams, providing visibility and financial insight to support decision-making and performance.

Requirements

5–8 years of experience in a manufacturing cost accounting environment
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Standard cost accounting and valuation
ERP systems experience (SAP preferred)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
English

Responsibilities

Act as a trusted business partner to plant leadership, providing data-driven insights to drive performance and support strategic objectives
Track and report actual performance against plans, forecasts, and standards
Analyze spending trends and headcount; recommend and drive corrective actions
Prepare monthly journal entries, financial statements, and reporting packages
Support annual planning and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and predictability
Maintain and validate standard costs within ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Identify and implement process improvements within financial analysis and reporting
Support cost savings initiatives and validate the financial impact of operational improvements
Review and approve engineering changes impacting standard costs
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and segregation of duties
Maintain accurate inventory accounting and appropriate reserve levels
Represent Finance in plant-level meetings and cross-functional discussions
