The role supports Manufacturing, Product Management, R&D, and Finance through accurate cost insights, analysis, and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline required; CMA preferred.
  • 6–8 years of cost accounting experience in a standard costing environment.
  • Experience with Infor Syteline ERP strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • PowerBI reporting experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Analyze manufacturing labor and overhead accounts and update annual conversion rates.
  • Maintain Item Master, Bill of Materials, and Routes in the ERP system.
  • Determine and report financial valuation of all inventory categories.
  • Prepare and update cost estimates for Sales, Product Management, and Manufacturing.
  • Support new product costing and cost-scenario modeling.
  • Provide cost analyses to Manufacturing and R&D for process improvements.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reflection of operations.
  • Analyze monthly manufacturing activity to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Support pricing strategy and margin analyses.
  • Analyze and review purchase price variances
  • Prepare and analyze standard vs. actual labor and material variances.
  • Monitor cycle count reconciliations across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Monitor accuracy and timeliness of inventory transactions.
  • Determine financial implications of inventory transactions.
  • Analyze and report scrap and discard activity, recommending improvements.
  • Drive efficiencies in cost accounting processes.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain cost accounting documentation and work instructions.
  • Support internal, external, ISO, and financial audits.
  • Provide backup support to Accounting Manager.
