About The Position

The Senior Cost and Budget Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the financial health, compliance, and strategic decision‑making of our Community Mental Health (CMH)/Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) organization. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining cost models, analyzing financial performance against budget, and evaluating reimbursement patterns, including CPT code utilization and payer trends. The senior analyst will work closely with finance leadership, program managers, and clinical teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, sustainable service delivery, and alignment with state and federal funding requirements. This position is full-time, exempt, scheduled Monday through Friday, during office business hours. A flexible, remote working arrangement is available for this position. The employee may perform work from a home with occasional office requirements. This position may include local travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least four years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or cost accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and multiple information systems.
  • Knowledge of the application of accounting principles as they apply to maintaining financial control and accounting records.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, practices, methods and terminology.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work independently and use judgment to make decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to have a broad perspective as well as understand details.
  • Ability to manage stress and an ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in behavioral health, healthcare finance, CMH, or CCBHC environments.
  • Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding, Medicaid reimbursement, and managed care payment structures.
  • Familiarity with MDHHS reporting requirements and CCBHC cost reporting standards.
  • Experience with financial or EHR systems commonly used in CMH/CCBHC settings.
  • Knowledge of the Michigan CMH system.
  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
