About The Position

Life Space Digital is reshaping the out-of-home media landscape through the deployment of smart digital screens in high-traffic office, multifamily, and retail environments. Our platform delivers content-rich experiences and targeted advertising directly to building occupants and visitors — starting in elevators, lobbies, and shopping center concourses. Backed by an experienced leadership team and aggressive growth targets, we are scaling across key U.S. markets with a focus on speed, precision, and long-term value for our partners. We are seeking to hire Senior Counsel to serve as the day-to-day internal legal leader for our commercial work and people-related legal risk. This is a hands-on, execution-first role for someone who thrives in high-velocity environments, makes clear judgments quickly, and helps the business move forward with confidence. This role combines two equally important missions: enabling revenue and deal velocity through practical commercial legal support, and supporting leadership and HR on people matters with clarity, fairness, and defensible process. The right person will take ownership, simplify complexity, and operate as a trusted partner to leaders across the company. You will not be writing long memos. You will be diagnosing risk, proposing a practical path forward, and closing.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of relevant experience with meaningful exposure to both commercial contracting and HR-related legal work.
  • Prior experience as the first or second in-house legal hire (or equivalent responsibility) in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills with a practical, business-minded approach to risk.
  • Comfortable executing on people-risk matters directly, including terminations, releases, and separation agreements.
  • Clear communicator who can partner effectively with leadership, HR, Finance, and external counterparties.
  • Builder mentality: you prefer internal problem-solving and execution over default escalation to outside counsel.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize commercial agreements, including MSAs, advertiser terms, agency agreements, amendments, and related deal documents.
  • Build and refine templates, playbooks, and approval paths that increase speed while keeping legal exposure manageable.
  • Provide real-time legal guidance to help teams understand obligations, evaluate tradeoffs, and execute agreements confidently.
  • Own standard commercial approvals end-to-end, escalating only when truly necessary.
  • Partner closely with HR and leadership on separations, terminations, reductions, and employment compliance matters.
  • Create and guide separation documentation and execution strategy that is clear, fair, and risk-aware.
  • Coach managers on documentation practices and decision discipline to reduce escalation and prevent disputes.
  • Help build scalable HR processes that match a fast-moving, performance-oriented culture.
  • Deliver rapid-turnaround legal support in a high-deal-flow environment.
  • Work comfortably with imperfect inputs, shifting priorities, and fast-moving decision cycles.
  • Be a true internal partner: identify the risk, recommend a defensible approach, and move it to completion.
