About The Position

Peraton has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Administrator to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team, developing a next generation satellite terminal on a mission critical Space and Intelligence Program. Responsibilities of the position: Server Administration: Manage and maintain Linux and Windows servers, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and reliability. Perform routine system updates, patch management, and system optimization. Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices for Linux systems. Ensure systems comply with industry standards and regulations. Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline administrative tasks. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, assisting with system-related issues, access requests, and user training. Collaborate with support teams as needed. Backup and Recovery: Establish and manage backup and disaster recovery procedures for both Linux and Windows systems. Test and document disaster recovery plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years experience. Twelve years of experience required with no degree.
  • US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance and undergo a CI polygraph.
  • Possess or be able to obtain before start date, Security+ certification.
  • Proficiency in Red Hat Linux server administration including configuration of common services such as DNS, NFS, NTP.
  • Scripting skills (e.g., Ansible, Bash, Python).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, security, and best practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of Red Hat Identity Management (IDM)
  • Familiar with visualization technologies in Red Hat environment.
