About The Position

ANSER is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA. In this role you will provide technical and analytical expertise supporting cyber workforce statutory and policy reporting requirements. In this role you will analyze cyber workforce compensation trends, develop data-driven insights, and enhance analytic capabilities used for strategic workforce planning and oversight.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, information systems, computer science, statistics, or a related field
  • 10 years of relevant professional experience in data analytics, workforce analytics, or data engineering
  • Experience supporting data analysis, reporting, and visualization initiatives
  • Experience working with workforce, personnel, or organizational data sets
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy protection, and data management best practices
  • Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations for leadership
  • Currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance from Alexandria, VA (55 miles).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) or similar senior-level DoD organizations
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools and dashboard development
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills; strong Excel and Outlook proficiency
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint development and administration
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects from concept through completion

Responsibilities

  • Analyze cyber workforce compensation trends across public and private sectors at occupational and work-role levels.
  • Support development and sustainment of analytic capabilities used to track cyber personnel and workforce positions.
  • Provide technical recommendations to enhance cyber compensation programs, including Market Supplement and related policy oversight.
  • Assist in the design, evaluation, and improvement of cyber workforce compensation program initiatives.
  • Support data acquisition, governance, privacy protection, and data model sustainment.
  • Implement enhancements to data models based on emerging policy and programmatic requirements.
  • Support the full lifecycle of data engineering activities related to manpower, personnel, and qualification data sources.
  • Develop and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards to enable data-driven decision-making and leadership oversight.
  • Scope and implement analytics dashboard enhancements incorporating persona-based user input.
