About The Position

The Chief Data Office at State Street is looking for a Senior hands-on Data Architect for driving the execution of our Global Data Architecture and Data Management Strategy initiatives and helping to drive cultural as well as practical change in our approach to- streamlined Enterprise Data Architecture and Data Management. You will work with Application Architects and Managers, Data Analysts, Data Stakeholders in understanding and executing the tenants of sustainable Enterprise Data Architecture and ensure high levels of engagement across those business units and corporate functions who actively provide or consume specific data sets. What you will be responsible for As Senior Data Architect, Vice President, you will Drive and influence enterprise data-decision making processes for a simplified and streamlined front to back data flows and a mature enterprise data architecture. Identify data flow, data duplication, data lineage and data quality gaps across the enterprise applications and drive data gap remediations among a diverse group of stakeholders. Provide feedback and guidance on streamlined data architecture and activities. Requirements

• Prior data architecture and data management experience with a large financial services firm
• Prior success working with business and information technology teams.
• Proven ability to achieve success within a large organization, especially as it relates to data models, data taxonomy, data standards and data quality.
• Proven ability to support multiple workstreams.
• Keen interest in developing knowledge of Data Architecture and Management practices.
• Ability to exercise discretion and judgment in matters of importance to your work.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math or a related field.
• 10+ years' experience in Data Architecture and Data Management
• Understanding data lineage and metadata management.
• Experience with business glossary and data dictionaries in the global capital markets.
• Experience with visualization tools (Tableau), SQL and Python.
• Strong analytical skills, with ability to collect, absorb, and analyze information quickly and independently
• Proven ability to develop and work with cross functional processes and project timeline
• Excellent follow-through, attention to detail and time management skills
