About The Position

Seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support enterprise data platform initiatives in a federal environment. This role will focus on designing, developing, and optimizing Databricks-based data solutions within AWS cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be a Databricks SME with experience building scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines supporting mission-critical systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
8+ years of experience in data engineering
3-5+ years of hands-on Databricks experience
Strong experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Lambda, etc.)
Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data modeling
Strong experience in AWS Cloud technologies and/or Databricks
Experience managing complex, interrelated application development and testing tasks
Responsible for technical quality and coordination with government technical leads

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of tax processing, tax compliance, case management, and taxpayer data preferred
Advanced Cloud and/or Databricks certifications preferred

Responsibilities

Design and implement data pipelines and data lakehouse architectures using Databricks and AWS
Optimize performance of large-scale distributed data processing workloads
Implement data governance, security, and access controls
Integrate data across enterprise systems and cloud services
Collaborate with architects and stakeholders on data strategy and platform design
