About the role: We are seeking talented and intellectually curious data engineers with a passion for the “R” in R&D. You will be part of the Data, Analytics & Technology team reporting to the Data Engineering Lead. The base salary expectation for this role is between $120,000 and $160,000. Actual base salary for the selected candidate may be higher commensurate with candidate experience and expectations. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years building production data pipelines using enterprise data integration tools.
Expert-level SQL and relational database design (optimization, indexing, schema design).
Hands-on experience with Medallion architecture and lakehouse platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.).
Advanced proficiency in dbt (macros, materialization strategies, incremental models).
Mastery of Python for data engineering tasks.
Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure-as-code.
Proven ability to work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
Strong code review and repository management skills.
Experience in high-functioning Agile environments.
Growth mindset with ability to rapidly adopt new tools and domain knowledge.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Debezium or similar CDC tools.
Familiarity with Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, or streaming message brokers.
Experience with Snowflake Iceberg Catalog integration.
Property, geospatial, or image data processing experience.
Financial services or insurance domain knowledge.

Responsibilities

Research and evaluate data sources to solve business problems and recommend optimal integration approaches.
Design and implement data pipelines supporting analytics and data science initiatives, including end-to-end ETL/ELT workflows.
Build robust, maintainable, and reusable data infrastructure following medallion architecture patterns (bronze/silver/gold layers).
Architect solutions for complex data challenges, including CDC pipelines, dimensional modeling, and master data management integration.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, build, test, deploy, and monitor data assets and analytics solutions.
