You will report to Senior Manager, Data Platform. This role is not eligible for sponsorship #LI-Remote

Requirements

  • 5 to 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with proficiency in SQL
  • 4+ years of experience using Git in a collaborative repository environment
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining analytics-engineering pipelines in dbt or equivalent (e.g., Dataform) with version control, data quality testing, and dimensional modeling best practices
  • Provide complex data solutions independently from design through production
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working in FinTech or SaaS environments with revenue, billing, or financial reporting data
  • Experience engineering and modeling sensitive financial data with controls and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of dbt and Snowflake best practices; dbt or Snowflake certification (or equivalent certifications in comparable tech stacks)
  • Demonstrated ownership of projects end to end, from requirements gathering through delivery and post-release validation
  • Experience writing clear, applicable Jira tickets and breaking down complex work into deliverable milestones and providing frequent updates on those tickets through comments
  • Experience reviewing code and data models and helping raise quality and consistency across the team
  • Familiarity with AWS services (or cloud equivalent) commonly used in modern data platforms
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code in Terraform
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data workflows

Responsibilities

  • Build and support audit-ready data pipelines for revenue reporting, financial accounting, and executive-level decision-making
  • Build, operate, and improve production-grade data pipelines using SQL, dbt, Snowflake, Fivetran, Python, and orchestration tools
  • Develop modular, well-tested dbt models that serve as core building blocks for analytics, reporting, and downstream data products
  • Manage data transformations and orchestration logic, ensuring accuracy, consistency, freshness, and auditability across environments
  • Lead projects independently by gathering requirements, defining scope, writing detailed Jira tickets and documenting progress diligently, and delivering data engineering solutions
  • Review code, data models, and pull/merge requests from other engineers, providing clear feedback and strengthening engineering best practices
  • Partner with analysts, managers, and partners to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Be a domain expert in financial and revenue data, with a focus on correctness, controls, audit-readiness (i.e. validation and data governance efforts) and long-term sustainability

Benefits
