About The Position

We’re representing a leading education technology company transforming K–12 learning through next-generation curriculum, assessment, and analytics platforms. For more than two decades, the company has developed innovative programs in English Language Arts, mathematics, and science designed to engage students in rigorous, meaningful learning. Today, their products serve more than 15 million students across all 50 states , providing educators with data-driven tools to understand student performance and deliver targeted instruction. The organization is expanding its Sales Analytics team and is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to help drive forecasting accuracy and data-informed strategic planning across the sales organization. As a Senior Data Scientist , you will lead forecasting and advanced analytics initiatives that inform revenue strategy and business planning.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a data science role, or a graduate degree in a quantitative discipline with 3+ years of forecasting or revenue analytics experience.
  • Strong experience with time series forecasting techniques such as ARIMA, Prophet, or LSTM.
  • Expert proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
  • Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and transformation.
  • Experience training and evaluating machine learning models using libraries such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, xGBoost, or tidymodels .
  • Experience building and deploying machine learning pipelines in production environments (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Databricks, or Snowflake).
  • Familiarity with software engineering practices including version control, testing, and reproducible workflows .
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical insights into business recommendations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving data-informed decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Snowflake .
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience in education technology or the education sector .

Responsibilities

  • Develop advanced sales forecasting models using statistical and machine learning approaches.
  • Build predictive models that produce short-term, mid-term, and long-term revenue forecasts across multiple product lines and regions.
  • Own the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle , including problem scoping, feature engineering, model development, deployment, monitoring, and explainability.
  • Develop self-service forecasting tools and data products that enable real-time decision making for business stakeholders.
  • Translate complex model outputs into clear business insights and recommendations .
  • Decompose forecast drivers to improve understanding of revenue trends and planning assumptions.
  • Partner closely with analytics engineers, data analysts, and cross-functional business teams.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to technical design reviews and data science standards.
