About The Position

We’re seeking a Senior Designer to deliver best-in-class eCommerce experiences across site design, digital marketing assets, and more. This role sits within our creative team and works closely with project team, pushing innovation in design systems from concept through execution and development handoff. Projects span branding, packaging, UX assistance, emails, ads, social, landing pages, editorials, and product campaigns. Reporting to the VP of Creative and Design Director, the Senior Designer also provides creative oversight to Designers and Junior Designers. Senior Designers are equally strong in execution and creative leadership. They have an exceptional eye for detail and bring digital design expertise driven by strategy, visual systems, and storytelling. They work autonomously, are trusted partners to Design Directors, and demonstrate excellence in both visual and technical design. Senior Designers are thought leaders—contributing not only to client work, but also to Domaine’s evolving creative process. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented designer who thrives in a fast-paced agency setting—balancing creativity, functionality, and client needs. Present and articulate design decisions clearly to clients and internal teams. Maintain strong attention to detail in all aspects of work. Requirements

  • Proficiency in Figma, including prototyping and design system management.
  • Strong knowledge of Shopify, including its capabilities, flexibility, and admin management.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify admin, including updates and content management within client projects.
  • Experience in animation tools to enhance creative delivery.
  • Expertise in cross-disciplinary project management tools, such as Jira.
  • Deep understanding of eCommerce best practices and web usability standards.
  • Ability to maintain clean, structured design files for seamless handoffs and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Review project briefs and clarify requirements with project managers.
  • Manage daily workload across retainer projects, site redesigns, and complex UI experiences.
  • Design wireframes and high-fidelity layouts based on user needs and clients’ business goals.
  • Conduct design critiques and implement feedback to refine designs.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of design files.
  • Communicate design rationale to clients in meetings and presentations.
  • Perform design QA, ensuring final builds align with the original vision.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and contribute insights to team discussions.
  • Maintain organized design files and ensure documentation is up to date.
  • Assist in estimating project timelines and workloads to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Develop user-centric web and eCommerce designs that adhere to best practices.
  • Conduct UX/UI audits and translate findings into actionable design improvements.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
  • Maintain and evolve design systems for consistency across projects.
  • Execute design work with precision, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Oversee multiple client projects, ensuring timely and high-quality design delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with retainer clients by delivering incremental design improvements.
  • Lead end-to-end redesign projects in collaboration with Design Directors.
  • Ensure development handoffs are seamless and QA design integrity is maintained.
  • Prioritize and balance multiple projects effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Work closely with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Actively participate in departmental and cross-functional meetings.
  • Provide feedback and mentorship to junior designers.
  • Take ownership of project-level issues and proactively resolve them.
  • Identify potential client escalations and collaborate on solutions.
