About the team The Procurement team within Roku’s Operations organization is responsible for sourcing the components, manufacturing services, and operational partners that enable Roku’s hardware products, including streaming players, TVs, and accessories. The team works across the full product lifecycle—from early development and NPI through ramp and sustained production—ensuring competitive cost, reliable supply, and strong supplier performance. Procurement partners closely with Hardware Engineering, Product, Supply Chain Operations, Quality, and Finance to align sourcing decisions with product requirements, launch timelines, and business objectives. The team balances cost, quality, scalability, and risk in a fast-moving, consumer-focused environment. About the role We are seeking a Senior Manager, Procurement – Hardware, to lead an end-to-end sourcing strategy for Roku hardware products and manufacturing partners. This role owns commercial strategy, supplier performance, and cost structure across the product lifecycle, while influencing hardware architecture and manufacturing decisions early in development. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in the hardware supply chain with strong business judgment, operational excellence, and the ability to lead in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. For California Only - The estimated annual base salary for this position is between $280,000 - $300,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, skill set, certifications, and specific geographic location. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
  • 8+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience supporting hardware products
  • Proven track record negotiating complex hardware supply agreements at scale
  • Experience supporting NPI and production ramp in high-volume environments
  • People leadership experience with measurable team impact

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced technical degree
  • Experience in consumer electronics or similarly complex hardware systems
  • Deep familiarity with global suppliers, EMS/ODM partners, and component ecosystems
  • Strong analytical skills, including cost modeling and data-driven decision making

Responsibilities

  • Own category strategy for key hardware commodities and manufacturing partners, with full accountability for cost, supply continuity, and commercial outcomes
  • Lead supplier selection, RFx processes, and complex negotiations, including long-term agreements, capacity commitments, and risk-sharing models
  • Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) improvements through should-cost modeling, design influence, and supplier innovation
  • Partner closely with Hardware Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing during NPI to influence component selection, architecture tradeoffs, and design-for-manufacturability
  • Ensure sourcing readiness for development builds, ramp, and high-volume production
  • Balance speed, cost, quality, and risk in high-visibility product launches
  • Establish clear supplier performance metrics across cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness
  • Lead executive-level supplier engagements and business reviews
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to capacity, geopolitical exposure, and component lifecycle
  • Build and lead a high-performing procurement team with a strong ownership mindset
  • Set clear goals, metrics, and mechanisms to drive consistent results
  • Continuously improve sourcing processes, systems, and decision frameworks
  • Influence without authority across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Legal
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with senior leadership using data and structured narratives
  • Make high-judgment tradeoffs in ambiguous situations
