Senior Director, Finance In this role, you will: Provide input into the organization’s business model and operations to drive larger business decisions that advance the organization’s mission and enhance its reputation. Drive project/process resources and requirements that results in the right policies, practices, trends, and information that shape the organization. Implement solutions, cognizant of financial and operational factors that work across business units/functions resulting in improved financial performance. Set organization-wide requirements related to financial modeling. Set industry standard for complex financial modeling, enabling cutting-edge analysis. Improve the company’s reporting and modelling tools based on best practice to enable advanced financial modeling. Guide organization-wide resource utilization to force simplicity, maximize performance, and value add; monitors the organization’s operational efficiency. Partner with key stakeholders to build organization-wide improvements to impact the quality of products, services, and processes. Ensure that complex technical communications are crafted with nontechnical audiences in mind; coach others on the best way to simplify terminology and use visual aids to describe concepts. Ensure the right processes and practices are in place to support the generation of communications that allow for clear and consistent comprehension of complex and technical information across the business. Challenge the organization to identify new and upcoming trends in finance and the economic market impacting own business in order to remain competitive and enhance the competitive advantage of the organization. Use expertise in financial reporting to establish auditing standards and procedures for the preparation and analysis of financial statements. Ensure the organization’s financial systems are producing the best Return On Investment (ROI) and operating efficiently and effectively, implementing new, efficient systems as needed. Guide and advise stakeholders on system use and implications of different applications. Determine the quality assurance process and strategy across financial systems, ensuring reviews are meeting business unit and organization standards. Establish key organizational performance indicators and metrics to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. Partner with business leaders to explore and understand their business objectives and challenges, and guides discussions to explore potential solutions. Use expertise in financial analysis to present and communicate financial results to senior executives and influence them in developing new strategies to enhance the organization’s financial performance. Guide the financial forecast process with business partners. This position is not eligible for relocation benefits or assistance. May work remotely or from home 2 days/week; must live within commuting distance of Expedia office. Position requires travel; 25% domestically and 25% Internationally.

Requirements

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related field followed by 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a finance-related occupation.
