KVC Health Systems is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Director – Grant Development to lead our Grants Department and drive public and private funding strategies that fuel life-changing programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years of successful grant writing experience securing federal, state, and foundation funding.
• Experience with agencies such as ACF, HRSA, NIH, SAMHSA, and/or the Department of Education strongly preferred.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience with fundraising and data management systems (Raiser’s Edge preferred).
• Strong understanding of federal grant review processes and foundation regulations.
• Ability to research and strategically match funding opportunities to organizational needs.
• Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority deadlines simultaneously.
• Passion for mission-driven work and community impact.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate strategic federal, state, local, and foundation funding opportunities.
• Lead the research, development, submission, and tracking of competitive grant proposals.
• Oversee and mentor a team of four grant development professionals.
• Strengthen relationships with public agencies and private funders.
• Implement and improve internal grant development protocols.
• Apply post-award management knowledge to strengthen future proposals.
• Align grant strategy with KVC’s mission and long-term growth goals.
