About the position

A+E Global Media is seeking a highly strategic and performance-minded Senior Director of Growth Marketing to lead audience acquisition, product marketing, and retention efforts across our direct-to-consumer (DTC) products and expanded sites. This leader will own these platform's growth strategy across paid and owned channels, including product feature recommendations, as well as guiding test-and-learn strategies. The role will partner closely with brand marketing, digital editorial, product, analytics, marketing creative, and digital operations teams to maximize audience and revenue impact. This is a high-visibility role that blends performance & product marketing, and requires a marketer who can own & champion the full user journey on these platforms. The role requires a track record of delivering measurable growth - managing to CAC, LTV, engagement & retention KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own A+E's growth marketing strategy across DTC and website expansion initiatives, ensuring team and partners are clear on priorities and KPIs and focusing on areas of greatest impact.
  • Oversee performance marketing, including defining KPIs, campaign planning, execution, and optimization.
  • Oversee product marketing, developing core audience groups (personas), championing lifecycle marketing, and advocating features to increase engagement & retention of prospective audience groups.
  • Set strategy & manage email acquisition and customer care communications across digital properties.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Analytics, and Creative teams to meet performance goals; work together to outline road map prioritization and important test & learn scenarios each quarter.
  • Recruit, mentor and lead a team of digital marketers, ensuring development, and creation of a culture of innovation.
  • Stay current on industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices, and share actionable insights with the team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in digital/growth marketing, with leadership role across lifecycle (awareness, acquisition, retention, engagement) marketing channels

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with building out a growth marketing practice within an organization a plus
  • Experience leading DTC, subscription campaigns with measurable ROI
  • Analytical mindset - fluent in constructing and refining key metrics strategy, A/B testing, and optimization strategies
  • Familiarity with AI powered marketing tools as well as marketing automation platforms like Iterable, analytics tools like Amplitude & media platforms like Meta, Google & TikTok
  • Strong collaborator and communicator across creative, technical, and executive stakeholders
  • Experience managing and mentoring mid-level managers and junior marketers
