About The Position

This strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end life cycle management (LCM) of key product programs, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and long-term value creation. The Senior Director will partner with cross-functional teams including Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Operations to prioritize initiatives and execute integrated life cycle plans. The role requires a highly collaborative leader who can influence without direct authority, drive decision-making at the executive level, and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. This position blends strategic oversight with operational rigor, including governance, metrics tracking, and risk management. It offers an opportunity to impact portfolio success and product optimization while shaping enterprise-level LCM strategy. The role operates fully remotely and requires occasional travel for cross-functional alignment and executive engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, MD, PhD) preferred.
  • Extensive experience in program and portfolio management within biopharmaceutical or life sciences organizations.
  • Proven leadership across full product life cycle, including launch and post-approval optimization.
  • Ability to operate at the enterprise and executive level, influencing strategy and cross-functional decisions.
  • Strong track record of leading complex, high-impact initiatives in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
  • Collaborative, strategic thinker with exceptional communication, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, pivoting plans as needed, and driving execution with measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Program Management Lead for life cycle initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams across Clinical Development, Regulatory, CMC, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Safety, Quality, and Operations.
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and manage life cycle opportunities, risks, and trade-offs aligned with strategic and value creation objectives.
  • Drive alignment on objectives, scope, timelines, dependencies, and critical path activities across multiple life cycle workstreams.
  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional forums, governance discussions, and life cycle reviews to enable timely, informed executive decision-making.
  • Develop executive-level materials, dashboards, and decision frameworks that synthesize complex cross-functional inputs.
  • Ensure data-driven decision-making and strategic oversight throughout all stages of the product life cycle.
