About the Role As Senior Director, Talent Acquisition – Corporate Functions, you will lead the development and execution of talent acquisition strategies that support corporate priorities. You’ll serve as a strategic advisor to senior executive leaders in Corporate Functions and International, drive operational excellence, and ensure we attract and hire the best talent to power Walmart’s continued growth and transformation worldwide. This role is pivotal in aligning recruiting efforts, building high-performing teams, and delivering a world-class candidate and stakeholder experience.

Requirements

  • Deep experience leading enterprise-wide recruiting strategies in large, complex, and global organizations, with a focus on Corporate Functions.
  • Expertise in modern recruiting practices, including innovative sourcing, selection strategies, and technology-driven solutions.
  • Strategic workforce planning acumen—ability to translate business priorities and workforce data into actionable hiring plans and talent pipelines.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional executive presence, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Commitment to upholding integrity, ethics, and confidentiality in all people practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related area and 6 years’ experience in human resources, talent acquisition, or related area.
  • 8 years’ experience in human resources, talent acquisition, or related area.
  • 4 years’ supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead transformation of talent acquisition ways of working, evolving operating models, processes, and team capabilities to deliver faster, more agile, and insight-driven hiring outcomes aligned with Walmart’s enterprise transformation.
  • Lead end-to-end talent acquisition strategy for Corporate Functions, aligning hiring plans with business priorities and future workforce needs.
  • Partner with senior business and People leaders to forecast talent needs, design recruiting strategies, and deliver candidate pipelines that fuel Walmart’s transformation.
  • Drive recruiting excellence and innovation—leveraging AI, advanced sourcing, and technology-enabled solutions to improve quality, speed, and candidate experience.
  • Provide real-time talent market insights, hiring analytics, and predictive workforce data to shape executive decision-making and optimize recruiting performance.
  • Oversee interview processes, recruiter capability building, vendor strategy, and systems/technology to enable a consistent, efficient, and high-quality hiring experience.
  • Build and develop a high-performing recruiting team, fostering a culture of accountability, belonging and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal standards, partnering with legal, finance, and audit teams to mitigate risk and ensure readiness for audits and disclosures.
  • Champion Walmart’s employer brand and values, serving as a brand ambassador in all candidate and market interactions.
