About The Position

GFT is seeking a Electrical Engineer for Transportation Facilities to join our Electrical Practice. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our office located in the Mid Atlantic to Northeast region. Some office locations are Valley Forge, PA , Philadelphia, PA, Mechanicsburg, PA, Newport News, VA, Virgina Beach, VA, Richmond, Va, Washington, DC, Fairfax,VA, Baltimore, MD, New YorK, NY, Woodbury, NY, East Brunswick, NJ GFT has been a public transit and transportation leader, focusing on rehabilitation and design of transportation and transit facilities including stations, vehicle and train maintenance facilities and other maintenance-of-way structures. What you’ll be challenged to do: As an Electrical Engineer you will engage across a range of roadway transportation and transit projects from condition assessment, design and design review, all the way through construction phase support. In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with our clients to provide innovative solutions for their transportation needs. You will also serve as a technical mentor to other members of the team, guiding them through complex project challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline
  • Eight (8+) plus years progressive experience in engineering design, inspection and construction support
  • Professional Engineer License is a plus for the role
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Strong Transportation engineering project portfolio, design-build experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Participating and coordination on multi-disciplined teams
  • Project management and ownership of technical design and report development
  • Providing expert engineering input into design and evaluation of technical outcomes and deliverable.
  • Serve as interface and liaison with the client attending progress meetings and producing reports.
